Projects
Since inception, BFK has been attempting to suitably address crucial gaps in the short-term and long-term housing options available in Kerala to meet the unique needs of various categories of people.
In pursuit of this, BFK has envisioned, formulated and is implementing / is in the process of implementing tailor made projects to provide apartment complexes for unorganised sector workers and low wage workers at affordable prices, own housing for plantation workers on grant basis, hostel accommodation for interstate migrant workers on rental basis, and studio-apartments for working women on rental basis.
BFK has been tasked with implementing the various schemes under each of these projects in places across Kerala where there is a dearth of such accommodation facilities.
The projects are called as under:
- Apna Ghar Project (hostel for interstate migrant workers)
- Bhavanam Project (housing for plantation workers)
- Janani Project (apartments for unorganised sector workers and low waged workers)
- Studio Apartment for Working Women Project
